My Glory I will not give to another: Isaiah 42:8, 48:11 and stolen glory!
Who or what steals God’s Glory? If you read the contexts of these verses in Isaiah, it was the worship of idols by God’s people. It took the dramatic judgement of the Exile of Judah to Babylon to purge Judah of its worship of literal idols. Isaiah mocks the nature of this idolatry: men make an idol and then worship it as a god! It is a brilliant expose, laughable…… But then though God made man in His image, ever since Eden, man has made God in his image. So maybe we have to look deeper
