Thought for the day! (Lives of the saints)

Bunyan was a tinker, a maker of pots and pans and did not know Christ. He overheard some women talking about Christ and was under “conviction of sin” by the Holy Spirit for about two years. That is why he could write so graphically about Pilgrim carrying his burden, a burden which could only be shed at the cross. As Bunyan found forgiveness through Christ’s finished work, his own burden was lifted. He was a free man. His allegorical “Pilgrim’s Progress” gives us memorable pictures of the Christian’s journey…….. Doubting Castle….. Vanity Fair…… By-path Meadow…… Read a copy with Scripture references and it will help your own spiritual journey and your knowledge of the Bible.
